Expect the unexpected. Rewind. Reshape. Rethink. Restart.

ISACA ROMANIA CHAPTER VIRTUAL EVENT | 2-4 March 2021

Despre

Looking over our shoulders towards 2020 it seems almost unbelievable that we have gone through such incredible experience our minds couldn’t grasp before, except for … maybe… some hypothetical scenarios in a BCP plan. Most probably with a very low probability scoring.
And here we are… after almost a year of continuous challenges, both in our personal and professional lives.
Digital transformation topic (maybe together with change management strategies) so long discussed priorly has taken a real shape, moving faster than we aimed or expected and forcing business to react and take risks without the planned preparation.
The effort of balancing the need of businesses’ reengineering, creativity and innovation with resilience and resistance to change, in the most uncertain and vulnerable environment experienced by latest generations, shakes people’s mentality and many organizational cultures.
What will 2021 bring us? We can’t really say.
We can only invite you to join us for three days of conference to meet our inspiring speakers and to debate on technology, leadership, governance and regulations.

UNDER PRESURE
The future of IT security in the Romanian regulatory landscape

The NIS directive has been a hot topic for both domestic and European conferences. Years into making, we now have a complete picture of how the regulatory environment will look like in Romania. And it comes timely, during a year with a lot of positive changes for the Romanian cybersecurity ecosystem. The National Cybersecurity Directorate appeared as a grand regulatory body and a bold project. The European Cybersecurity Competence Center will be located in Bucharest after fierce competition.
However, like any new piece of legislation or any new public body, there are both opportunities and challenges. How should industry professionals receive the news and position themselves and the organisations they are part of?

THE SHOW MUST GO ON
Lessons from the past and challenges for future leaders

As the meaning of leadership has evolved from an individual characteristic to a desired style of communication, a mutual effort both of the leader and the team to reach the goals helping each other to increase motivation and ethical behaviour, organisations started to seek methods and choose messages which would lead through inspiration and authenticity. Beautifully, this has taken many different shapes during time, being influenced by social, cultural and historical aspects.
Is there any difference when we are looking from a technological and digital perspective? 2020 business and personal experiences might help us in this discussion.
